The issue may be in the ABA Number previously provided by Connecticut for Webster Bank.
If you ran into issues trying to effect payment to Connecticut on or around their March 31st reporting deadline, and you weren’t using their online payment portal, the issue may be with the ABA/Routing number supplied by the state.
On April 3, 2025 – just 3 days after the state’s report and remit deadline, Connecticut published updated payment instructions on the state’s unclaimed property website. These instructions provide an updated ABA/Routing Number for the state’s remittance account at Webster bank. A copy of the updated payment instructions can be found here.
